Article: Beach Towel Wipes Field To Take Terrapin Stakes; Keeps Perfect 1990 Record at Rosecroft

As far as Rosecroft Raceway fans are concerned, Beach Towel is perfect. For the fifth time in five tries this year, Beach Towel won at Rosecroft, this time last night in the $316,135 Terrapin Stakes for 3-year-old pacers.

The winning time was a good 1:54 1/5 on an off track. The track condition was listed as sloppy after a thunderstorm rolled through before the first race. But by the time the Terrapin went to post, the racing surface had improved considerably.
