WALNUT CREEK -- Holmes County recognized its outstanding
conservation efforts of the year and newly elected supervisors to
the Soil and Water Conservation District during a recent banquet
held at the Carlisle Village Inn.
Jim Croskey, chairman of the Holmes County SWCD board of
supervisors, opened the evening events with comments and
introduction of the supervisors.
"Tonight we are proud to celebrate a milestone -- 60 years of
conservation in Holmes County. I can't tell you exactly how many
conservation practices have been put in during the last 60 years,
but it's been a bunch," Croskey said.
