5th LD: Plane with 54 people aboard crashes in Turkey, wreckage found

ANKARA, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- A Turkish passenger plane with 54 people aboard crashed in central Turkey on Friday, local NTV reported.

The wreckage of the plane has been found in a mountainous part of southern Turkey, said the report.

Earlier, airline company officials said there were 56 people aboard the plane that was missing.

CNN cited Tuncay Doganer, chief executive of the private airline company AtlasJetair, as saying that there were 49 passengers and seven crew on board.
