BANGOR - The LaGrange man accused of killing his wife last week
while she apparently was hiding naked under their bed made his first
appearance Tuesday in Penobscot County Superior Court.
Jeremy S. Hart, 34, was arrested Sunday and charged with
intentional or knowing murder in the shooting death of his wife,
Kristen Smart Hart, 25, on Thursday night in the bedroom of their
home on Dread Lane in LaGrange.
Security was unusually tight for the brief hearing Tuesday
afternoon due to a threat made against Hart's life, according to
Penobscot County Sheriff Glenn Ross. He said the threat was relayed
to his office from another police agency that he did not name.
