"Holy cow, it's snowing!" my 7-year-old daughter said after
awakening on a recent Saturday morning. "Awesome!"
Soon after, the snow stopped falling and began melting into the
brown grass.
"It doesn't look like the snow will be sticking around for long,"
I said disappointedly.
"Oh, mommy, it will snow again," my daughter countered with a
tone that sounded like, "You silly goose, it will snow so much more
before spring arrives that you had better buy that new sled and
