Article: Boeing Says Dreamliner Is on Schedule; First 787s Expected to Be Delivered Late Next Year Despite Supply 'Wrinkles'

Boeing said it was still working through problems in the supply chain for its new 787 Dreamliner but would deliver the first aircraft, as scheduled, in late 2008.

There are "significant supply-chain wrinkles," Scott Carson, chief of Boeing's commercial airplane group, said yesterday in a conference call with reporters. Parts shortages are receding, and the fasteners needed to assemble the aircraft are more available, Boeing said.
