MILLERSBURG -- Tyler Kiner steps out of the Holmes County Higher
Education Center's main classroom a little warm, a little tired and
confident that he's made the most of the last four hours with an ACT
test packet.
"I think I did well," Kiner, a junior at West Holmes, said. "I
wanted to get in on the soonest date and I knew they were having it
here, so why not."
The center brought ACT testing to Holmes County three years ago
to provide a local site for students who, in previous years, have
traveled to test sites in Wooster, Dover and New Philadelphia, among
others. For Kiner, taking the ACT at the HCHEC means a familiar
location -- he takes post-secondary education ...
