African sports officials hail preparations of 2008 Beijing Olympics

CAIRO, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- A senior official of the Associationof National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) on Wednesday hailed the preparation works of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

On the sidelines of the 24th ANOCA seminar which kicked off Wednesday in the Egyptian capital of Cairo, ANOCA secretary general Gustavo Conceicao told Xinhua in an interview that China is exerting her best efforts to prepare for the upcoming Beijing Olympics.

Terming the preparations of Beijing as "very well," Conceicao said "I believe deeply this games will be the most memorable eventin the Olympic history."
