Albuquerque Rebounds After Losing a 7-0 Lead

A dozen runs weren't enough, so the Albuquerque Isotopes scored 14.

Albuquerque beat the Salt Lake Stingers 14-12 on Sunday afternoon in front of a crowd of 7,265 at Isotopes Park.

After losing leads of 7-0, 9-6 and 12-10, the Isotopes scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth to pick up their second win in a row.

The two teams inverted numbers, with Salt Lake scoring 12 runs on 14 hits and Albuquerque 14 runs on 12 hits.

''Sometimes it does take 14 runs to win here, though we're not happy with that,'' said Isotopes manager Dean Treanor, who returned to run the team after missing two days for his son's college graduation.
