In the beginning, like 12 years ago, bingo was the only legal
casino game in town, and thousands of New Mexicans loved it.
Isleta's Bingo Palace bussed in loads of folks from Socorro, Rio
Rancho and the Manzano mountain communities.
When class 3 gaming got the green light, bingo's popularity fell.
Slot machines became boss, big time. Bingo, it was said, was dead.
Several casinos dumped the game, while others kept it around, only
because the space was available.
Bingo brainiacs decided to fight back, introducing electronic
