If pressed, Alan Branch would probably call himself a small-town
kid with big-city talent.
That talent will take center stage Saturday, when he should hear
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell read his name during the first round
of the 2007 Draft.
For Rio Rancho's Branch, a state player of the year at Cibola High
School and All-American defensive tackle from the University of
Michigan, a multimilliondollar paycheck is all but assured.
All that's left to determine is the amount of the contract and the
ZIP code of his employer.
