NORMAL - When Dirk Williams arrived on the Illinois State University campus, he knew how to shoot a jump shot.

Yet Williams admits his study habits were - in basketball lingo - a turnover waiting to happen.

"I really didn't know how to manage my time," said Williams, a sophomore men's basketball player from Pekin. "It's a lot different than high school.

"Here, the practices are longer and the schedule more intense. I got tired a lot of times."
