Nolan Bushnell opened the first Chuck E. Cheese in 1977. He's the
same guy who founded Atari in 1972 and subsequently launched the
video game revolution by inventing Pong.
During the ensuing quarter-century, Chuck E. Cheese has grown to
encompass 417 stores in 46 states. The simple, social, maddening game
of Pong evolved into the splashy, noisy electronic wonderland that
defines Chuck E. Cheese.
