Article: State Farm Classic will draw most LPGA stars

SPRINGFIELD - The State Farm Classic might not have Annika or Karrie.

Just about everyone else among the top LPGA players, though, will be at The Rail Golf Club this week for the State Farm Classic. The 72- hole tourney begins Thursday and concludes Sunday.

Six of the top 10 and 21 of the top 30 on the money list are entered. Se Ri Pak, Laura Diaz, Mi Hyun Kim, Gloria Park, Rachel Teske, Christi Kerr and Meg Mallon, who have all won tournaments this season, will play.

Also returning after a long absence will be Laura Davies, while LPGA Hall of Famer Nancy Lopez will be playing as part of her farewell season on the tour. Lopez won the State Farm Classic in 1980 and 1992.
