Article: Fret about fat in budget, not in vending machines

There is little doubt that childhood obesity in the United States is a growing problem -- no pun intended -- and American children, in general, eat too much junk food.

It might even be a good idea to remove the temptation of pop and sweets from school vending machines.

Gov. Rod Blagojevich and House Republican leader Tom Cross disagree. Father doesn't know best, according to them. They think state government should dictate whether Twinkies and Pepsi can be sold in school vending machines.
