Article: Situation better in Iraq, worldwide than year ago

Shortly after the war in Iraq began one year ago, polls showed about 70 percent of Americans thought the war was worth fighting. Now, polls say Americans are evenly divided on that question, perhaps with a slight edge to those who still think it was worth fighting.

Some members of Congress are among those who have changed their minds.

People are entitled to change their minds -- even politicians -- especially as circumstances change or other information becomes available.
