RC&D honored

CHAMPAIGN -- Prairie Rivers Resource Conservation and Development won an award recently from the Illinois Natural Resources Conservation Service for increased public participation in RC&D efforts.

Prairie Rivers serves nine counties, including Bureau, LaSalle, Livingston, Marshall, Peoria, Putnam, Stark, Tazewell and Woodford. Gerry Weller of Strawn serves as president. Kim St. John of Wyoming coordinates the group.

The RC&D members develop programs and projects that sustain and improve local communities, economies and natural resources.
