Article: Twin City community leader Ives dead at 76

BLOOMINGTON -- Timothy Ives focused his life on the community around him.

"He was involved in a huge variety of things and all of those things were connected to the development of our community," said Greg Koos, executive director of the McLean County Museum of History.

Ives, 76, died early Monday morning at his rural Bloomington home. Funeral arrangements are pending at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home.

He was the former president and an owner of Bloomington Broadcasting Corp., which included stations in the area like WJBC and throughout the country. Ives, who once served as a director of The Daily Pantagraph, was the great-grandson of Adlai Stevenson I and nephew of former Illinois governor ...
