Retired Gridley dentist Leonard Rich is a jack of all trades and
master of many. If he lacks expertise in a particular field, it is
not for lack of trying. And, although Rich has lived in Bloomington
for two years, his heart remains in the McLean County small town
surrounded by what arguably could be the finest farmland in the
Midwest.
Gridley itself is unusual. How many towns its size has three full-
time dentists telling people to open their mouths? And all of them in
the same building.
Rich's Gridley roots are firm. He married the former Mary Freed, a
high school classmate. His best friend was and is Bill Froelich, a
