Hotel project criteria

The city of Bloomington sought proposals from private developers to construct a privately owned hotel in downtown Bloomington adjacent to the 7,000-seat arena currently under construction.

In general, the city was looking for proposals that included the following six criteria:

* A minimum of 100 rooms.

* Appropriate on-site food service and meeting space.

* A statement of how the proposed hotel would interact with and support the downtown arena and the Cultural District.

* An answer about whether the hotel would need 10,000 square feet of meeting space added to the arena.

* Specific parking requirements for the hotel and location of preferred parking facility.
