Harriett Eckelmann EL PASO -- Harriett Reed Eckelmann, 82, of
Cape Girardeau, Mo., mother of an El Paso resident and sister-in-law
to the late Dorathy Eckelmann of Normal, died Jan. 21, 2005, at the
Lutheran Home.
She was born Aug. 6, 1922, at Mattoon. She and Melvin "Bob"
Eckelmann were married March 8, 1945, at St. Louis. He died Jan. 28,
1973.
She was a graduate of Mattoon High School and a member of the
Evangelical United Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau. Harriett was a
former Sunday school teacher, youth group sponsor, participant in
Covenant Prayer Group, and a community volunteer. She retired as a
secretary from American Greetings Co., and she and her husband were
former owners of ...
