Article: Eureka College marks 150 years

EUREKA -- Eureka College marked its 150th Founders' Day on Saturday by recognizing a brand new U.S. postage stamp of its most celebrated alumnus -- 1932 graduate Ronald Reagan.

The college was born on Feb. 6, 1845. The late president, who died June 6, shared his alma mater's birthday. He would have been 94 today.

People milled in the school's Ronald Reagan Museum to admire the stamp and other memorabilia about "Dutch," but the night wasn't all about him.

Eureka President Paul Lister told more than 400 people gathered in Becker Auditorium that endurance is the key significance in Eureka celebrating its sesquicentennial.
