Article: Linden St. opens after complaints City also delays arena payment

BLOOMINGTON -- Linden Street is open to through traffic again.

The signs on Linden Street closing it off are coming down today said city manager Tom Hamilton after a lengthy discussion Monday at the Bloomington City Council meeting.

The city posted a "do not enter" sign in July for southbound traffic at the intersection of Locust and Linden streets. People also were kept from turning left onto Monroe Street from southbound Davis Avenue.

Alderman Kevin Huette said he was pulled over by two Bloomington patrol cars as he drove down the street to investigate the street configuration in response to calls he received.
