BLOOMINGTON - Like a good sponsor, State Farm is there.

The firm has inked its first Hollywood partnership as the official insurance company of the Pixar/Disney film "Cars."

The nations largest auto insurer doesnt appear in the film, but characters from the movie will appear prominently in the companys upcoming marketing efforts, State Farm Assistant Vice President for Advertising Mark Gibson told The Pantagraph on Wednesday.

"The story is really about how people along the road of life need help sometimes," he said. "The movie is about friends helping friends, and State Farm is all about helping people. We think its a good match."
