Trained To Kill Animal cruelty investigators say more dogs forced into blood sport of fighting; Pit bulls "sweet" - unless trained to fight

Two pit bulls -- exhausted from a violent fight -- clinch their badly bitten bodies against each other as spectators cheer for blood.

A man from the crowd uses a long stick to pry apart the two dogs. The animals then retreat to opposite ends of the ring, where their owners attempt to incite more aggression. Pit bulls are said to have naturally sweet dispositions, but these have been trained to be killers.

This blood sport, similar in many ways to a boxing match, can last for hours and ends only when one of the dogs is killed or quits fighting.
