Although getting a new puppy may seem very easy, it can be a
complicated process and should require a great deal of thought. The
better educated and informed you are, the more likely you are to get
a puppy that will suit your family's personality and lifestyle.
First, decide whether to even get a puppy. Perhaps an adult dog
would be a better choice for you, especially if you don't have time
to properly house-train a new puppy. Many great adult dogs that are
already house-trained are available from local humane societies,
rescues and shelters. By getting a dog from one of these sources, you
