Article: Auto dealer citizen of the year Fort Kent man helped bring winter sports center, MBNA to town

FORT KENT - A local automobile dealer and former economic development planner credited with bringing the Maine Winter Sports Center and MBNA to Fort Kent was named Citizen of the Year on Friday night by the Greater Fort Kent Area Chamber of Commerce.

Carl Theriault is a native New Englander who moved to Fort Kent in the early 1990s after working at careers that took him across the country and to Europe.

"His dedication to the area, and his work at increasing economic stability of the area were part of the reasons for his selection," Philip Soucy, a former Citizen of the Year, said when presenting the award.
