Article: Inn planners try to ease way to hearing Opponents may be looking for reasons to scuttle Bar Harbor hotel project

BAR HARBOR - The Rodick Inn application sailed through its first planning board review Wednesday.

Although the large hotel development has vocal opponents in town, participation in this week's completeness review was limited to board members, who scrutinized the application, searching for any issue that might cause rancor at next month's public hearing.

"I'm just trying to make the public hearing go more smoothly by having this information on the table," board member Stewart Brecher said Wednesday.
