ORONO - With Mike Morrison's 19-save, 4-3 overtime win over
Harvard University in Saturday's NCAA Eastern Regional first-round
game, University of Maine interim head coach Tim Whitehead now has
two goalies with NCAA tourney experience.
Yeats made 31 saves in the 4-3 victory over Boston University the
following day in the quarterfinals.
Whitehead and his players will be confident with whoever gets the
start in their NCAA Frozen Four semifinal against New Hampshire next
Thursday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.
"I feel we have two real good choices," said Whitehead. "Both are
playing well right now, both are making big saves, both are seniors
and both are experienced."
