Article: New SAD 28 school debated in Camden Facility hinges on Elm Street facility

CAMDEN - It's a sentimental favorite, but the Elm Street School may best serve SAD 28 by not housing pupils.

The district, which provides kindergarten-through-eighth-grade education for Camden and Rockport pupils, is at a crossroad as it evaluates its buildings.

The school board has committed to continued use of the Knowlton Street complex, investing in recent years in renovating the former Mary E. Taylor School and Camden-Rockport High School as a middle school serving fifth through eighth grades.
