UNITY - As the smell of freshly baked bread and hot apple cider filled the air Sunday, hundreds of connoisseurs tasted some of Maine's best gourmet cheeses and spreads, during the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association's second annual Maine Food Festival.

A dozen of Maine's best cheese makers showed off their skills inside MOFGA's education center, highlighting the dairy-product theme of this year's festival.

Besides tasting, festivalgoers could also learn the art of cheese making, how to milk a goat, and how to cook with cheese.
