Article: SAD 70 to seek assistant principal Board wants cuts in administration

HODGDON - After looking over their budget, weighing public opinion and hosting a discussion among themselves, SAD 70 directors have decided to proceed with their search for an assistant principal for Hodgdon High School.

Superintendent Deborah Stewart said Friday that the board is looking at "greatly diminishing" an administrative position within the district in order to streamline expenses.

"We felt that we needed to maintain the position at the high school," Stewart said. "But we are going to look at cutting at least $25,000 from our administrative costs."
