BAR HARBOR - After two years on the job, Costas Christ will be
stepping down as the executive director of the Bar Harbor Chamber of
Commerce.
"I feel that I'm able to leave the chamber certainly much stronger
than when I arrived," Christ said Monday. "At this point in time
there are some other opportunities that are also exciting
opportunities for me."
Among those opportunities is an editorial position at National
Geographic Adventure magazine, where Christ will write a monthly
travel column. The Brooksville man also will be writing a book about
responsible travel and acting as the chairman of a program called
Tourism for Tomorrow.
