DEXTER - This town is roping in all wanna-be cowgirls, cowboys and Indians for its popular Wild West Weekend Aug. 4-6, sponsored by the Dexter Regional Development Corp. and the North Country Riding Club.

The fourth annual event, designed to unite family and community, will make Dexter appear as if it were lifted from another era. Instead of automobiles, the streets will be lined with bales of hay, watering troughs, and cowgirls and cowboys - with or without their horses.
