Article: Burst pipe at Harbor House repaired

SOUTHWEST HARBOR - A burst pipe at the new Harbor House facility has been repaired and the organization is focusing on raising money for the next phase of construction at the Herrick Road building, according to an official with the group.

Peter Homer, executive director of Harbor House, said Monday that the new building, which opened in September, is still under warranty with the contractor and that the damage from the burst pipe has been repaired at no cost to the town.

The pipe, part of the building's sprinkler system, froze in the attic and then thawed last Wednesday, he said, causing water to leak into insulation, light fixtures, between walls and into a classroom.
