DOVER-FOXCROFT - A Bradley construction firm will begin work soon
on a waterline extension on the Milo Road to Pleasant River Lumber
Co.
Selectmen on Wednesday accepted a bid of $265,504 from Buchanan
Construction Inc. It was the lowest bid submitted for the work. The
highest bid represented $100,000 more.
The entire project that includes construction and engineering is
expected to cost $451,000, which will be funded through a
congressional earmark of $451,100.
Town Manager Jack Clukey said the main will be installed to the
property line of Pleasant River Lumber Co. The company then will tie
into the line to feed a standpipe they have for fire suppression
