HOW MANY WEEKENDS A MONTH DOES Richard Cohen {Critic at Large,
February 26} spend shopping for stylish, sensual and self-expressive
outfits? (Three? Two? Zero?)
Second, how often has he worn a daringly individualistic outfit
to a serious business meeting? (A pink tie, green shirt and lavender
pants would be a good combination to try.)
Third, has he ever walked around in 20-degree weather wearing
only a coat, boxer shorts and high heels? (This would approximate the
level of discomfort felt by a woman wearing something other than a
"nomad skirt" to a winter function.)
If Washington fashions are more reminiscent of Moscow than of
Fifth Avenue, then so be it. Let Mr. Cohen go elsewhere to ...
