Article: William Nicolozakes

CAMBRIDGE -- William G. "Himer" Nicolozakes, 77, of Cambridge, passed away Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, peacefully at home among his wife and family.

He was born Sept. 26, 1929, in Fairpoint, Ohio, son of the late Gust George and Diane (Papadakis) Nicolozakes originally of Neohorio, Crete, Greece.

While attending public school in Fairpoint, graduating in 1947 from St. Clairsville High School, he worked along side his father and brothers, George and Stanley, in their father's mining and trucking business, the Gust Nic Company.

In 1949, he joined the United States Air Force serving as an instructor of automatic pilot and instruments for the B-45 Bomber during the Korean Conflict.
