With the precision of a digital scale, Sandi Kiser can pinpoint
when she began struggling with her weight.
The former cheerleader was thin growing up, but about five years
ago two weighty matters on consecutive days made for a heavy heart
and a changed life.
Sandi Kiser had slipped in her home and injured her back. The next
day her father died. The events might have been unrelated, but
together they forced Sandi Kiser down an unfamiliar path, one where
her weight was an issue.
In September, Kiser, a secretary for the dean and director of
admissions at The College of Wooster, took advantage of the school's
