Article: Wooster debate team places fourth at state competition

WOOSTER DISTRICT -- The Wooster High School Speech and Debate Team traveled to Boardman High School for the state competition March 2- 3, placing fourth out of 80 schools.

Megan Russell and Kaitlyn Carmel advanced to the top 16 teams in Public Forum Debate, and Weihao Chen and Geoff Parker advanced to the top 16 teams in Policy Debate.

Sarah Pinkham and John Graham advanced to the semifinals in Public Forum, placing in the top four teams in the state. Matthew Cebul and Delaney Gatz advanced to the semifinals in Policy Debate, and Sharry Grewal advanced to the semifinals in Lincoln Douglas Debate.

In individual events, Milena Azevedo and Aimee Thompson advanced
