MILLERSBURG -- This year's Holmes County Relay for Life had people
on their feet at West Holmes High School this weekend. Friday, the
families and friends of cancer survivors stood alongside the high
school's track as area residents who battled cancer walked a lap to
celebrate their victory, and team members Saturday were on their feet
again cheering for their competitors in the first ever Relay 500.
Every year the event includes a survivors' lap and in previous
years other participants have watched from the bandstands. This year
team members lined the track, cheering, clapping and shouting
encouragement.
