It's fishing, it's supposed to be fun.
With that said, I'd like to spend this week's column on putting
the fun back in fishing.
After all, isn't that's really what it's all about.
We often put way too much emphasis on catching big fish and our
limit of fish, instead of enjoying the process of fishing.
These days, I enjoy seeing people I'm with catch fish more than I
actually enjoy catching fish myself.
It happened recently on a fishing trip to Portage Lakes with my
brother-in-law Denzil Lorson and his friend Sonny Ott.
We spent the day fishing for bluegill, putting some good ones in
the livewell for supper when I decided to hit a favorite springtime
spot of mine and fish deep for some bigger ...
