Article: Hogs, sheep and goats bring the out buyers

MILLERSBURG -- Goats, sheep and swine were sold at the Holmes County Fair's market livestock auction on Thursday. The total revenue in the goat auction was $5,558.50 with an average bid of $3 a pound. The total revenue in the sheep auction was $13,405.20 with an average of $2.78 per pound and the total revenue from the swine sale was $127,439.75 with an average per pound of $2.75.

Hummel Insurance Agency bought Samantha Yerian's grand champion dairy goat for $7 a pound for a total of $532, while Kendra Martin's reserve grand champion dairy goat sold for $5.75 a pound for a total of $373.75 to Dr. Deepak Arora.
