Article: County commissioners ask ODOT to pave Route 3

WOOSTER -- Citing safety concerns and the possibility of a negative economic impact, the Wayne County commissioners have asked a state transportation official to reconsider the chip-and-seal project on state Route 3, and instead, pave the road.

As part of a pavement management plan, officials at the Ohio Department of Transportation's District 3 office in Ashland have begun using the chip seal process as a less expensive way to extend the life of roads in its eight-county area.
