WOOSTER -- The Wayne County Junior Fair Auction on Thursday closed
out the final day after selling 366 market hogs, totaling
$193,237.50, and eighty-six beef steers, 28 dairy steers and two
carcass steers totaling $243,779.25.
Auctioneers were Dave Acker, Mark Bachus and Steve Andrews, with
Chris Acker and Becky Croft clerking the sale. Ringmen were Jeff
Gasser, Mark Bachus, Dave Geitgey, Nick Defelice, Jim Silver, Andy
White, Seth Andrews, Dave Acker and Curt Morris. Sale proceeds were
handled by National City Bank.
Mitchell Murray's champion market hog was purchased by Burge
Trucking, Gasser Electric, Lodi Lumber and Santmyer Oil for $11 per
pound, with the reserve champion market hog ...
