Article: 'A square peg in a round hole' Jayne Fountain Miller finds her niche in Holmes County

BERLIN -- The first time Jayne Fountain Miller told her story to other women it was at a professional women's conference four years ago. Going out in front of an audience of female doctors and chief executive officers, Miller, the woman who had been speaking in front of people since fifth-grade, thought she was going to be sick.

"My dad, he'd say, 'She'd talk to anything that moved.' My father would roll over in his grave if he knew I get paid to give tours, 'Girl, they pay you to talk?'" said Miller. "Meaning, 'I would have paid you to be quiet.'"

But not that day. That day, no one had to pay Miller to be quiet. The words were stuck in her throat.
