MILLERSBURG-- Wayne County has one. Many of the surrounding areas plan their own and so it was time for Holmes County to follow suit.

Ohio Farm Bureau member Tim Brumme said that was the rationale behind the first official Holmes County Farm Tour on Saturday. Despite the county's flooded fairgrounds, the tour was informational and eye-opening.

"This is about educating people about mainstream farming," Brumme said.

Some tour participants came from as far away as Singapore to learn about Holmes County, said farm bureau member Angela Brumme. Other tour participants got a little more insight into their own community.
