8 months after abrupt closing, business re-opens
TIPP CITY - There will be lots of familiar faces behind the
counters when the Spring Hill Garden Center re-opens Friday eight
months after Spring Hill Nurseries was abruptly closed after 152
years in business in the Miami Valley.
Garden Center Manager Craig Beaty, in turn, hopes the familiar
faces of previous customers are seen by the employees who have
rejoined the company following its purchase in bankruptcy last fall
by Gardens Alive of Lawrenceburg, Ind.
Beaty said there's a new owner, some new philosophies and some new
products at his garden center. However, there's also a family feeling
at Spring Hill operations that survived owner ...
