Junior high squad going for third straight year

Forty junior and senior high schools from across Ohio competed April 20 in the 2002 Ohio Science Olympiad at Ohio State University.

Piqua, Kings Mill, Magsig, Tower Heights, Watts, Northmont, Fort Loramie and National Trail junior high schools and Centerville, Northmont, Piqua, Beavercreek and Lehman Catholic high schools represented the Greater Dayton area.

The daylong competition consists of more than 20 events in engineering, physics, chemistry, astronomy and earth science.

Teams consisting of 15 members work in groups of two to four students to solve problems in each of the subject areas.
