HERE'S WHAT I LIKE about watching golf:

The weather.

The landscape.

You can't help but like either when you're staring out at brown grass and twiggy trees half the year and then get sideswiped by low temperatures and a little snow at the beginning of April.

It's soothing to turn on the television set and catch a little sunshine over a palm tree.

Let's be honest. At almost any time of the day I can flip on the television set and watch a sports show among the glut of specialty offerings ranging from live events to spectacles that happened years ago.
